im not going to add to the pile of positive comments & essentially repeat what everyone else has said. but i will say this: the author of this here book does have a way with numbers & understanding the finer structure and threads of our existence.

Who should read it: Anyone who makes art and enjoyed geometry class.

It's a well made and beautiful book. Prints and diagrams are lovely to look through and the history of this great ratio are intriguing. As someone who has never discovered anything in math I love that for thousands of years great minds were sitting around, probably drunk on wine and cheese, just bisecting triangles in their heads to see what would happen and they kept reusing the same ones. This book should help you tie nature, science and spirit together some if you let it.

l have read much on the topic of Golden Ratio. I am in agreement with the belief it deserves credit as one of the greatest elements of mathematics and natural science. The logial proof is convincing on its own. The multitude of evidence across so many disciplines is only ignored at the peril of opening future doors of yet to be found truths. What an adventure this study opens! KUDOS!

A nice balance of history, mathematics and art. Bought this to learn more about the Golden Ratio and was very happy with how much of the book presented the information visually. Beautiful illustrations.

But it’s wildly entertaining with spectacular images of how the Golden Mean is illustrated by the nature world and by what man creates almost unintentionally that displays this. Do we actually “know” in some form of inner awareness what is pleasing to the eye? And does every living thing also have an awareness of these similar forms. It almost feels magical. Is a cultivation of awareness the key to tapping into this boundless realm we call the universe?
Anyway, this book can create flights of fancy, apparently.

This is a beautifully made book. Quality is excellent, prints ar gorgeous, and the math is just plain FUN! This was all a big surprise as the cost of the book was so reasonable. If you love a casual, "sacred geometry" approach to mathematics you thoroughly enjoy this !

I am an art historian working with the mathematics underlying artistic composition. I have done extensive professional research on the so-called Golden Section, Fibonacci, etc. The field is plagued with what might best be called "light treatments" and sensational claims intended for the unlearned. This book, in contrast, is rigorous and comprehensive; the illustrations are plentiful, clear, and superbly conceived. The best first book for anyone seriously interested. I immediately gave copies to several friends who are similarly engaged.

I have followed closely Gary Meisner's work on the Golden Ratio for years, yet I was pleasantly surprised to find much new information in his new book. This book is FANTASTIC, well-written and informative! The art work is gorgeous. I learned new aspects of this topic and also came to better understand many concepts. This book is simply a must-have for anyone even remotely interested in the Golden Ratio or mathematics in nature and art. I have bought other copies as gifts for friends and colleagues.

A delightful book, especially for the price. Even though some of the concepts are stretched a bit to fit the premise (that every example shown truly fits the golden mean, etc., perfectly) they are close enough to be impressive and helpful. It's great as a visual design guide, as a way to link cultures and history, to show how much fun math can be, and much more. This book is beautiful and rich in its visual and written content. As an artist and arts educator, I will find it helpful for my own work and when teaching design and art history. It arrived decently packed and in a super short time. I am more pleased than I expected to be.

Gary Meisner’s compelling and beautifully illustrated book on the Phi Matrix is truly mesmerizing. I now have the book in my front lobby of my office, where I have found many of my clients immersed in its contents. Whether you are interested in the historical mathematical consequence of the Golden ratio, or just curiously in awe of the symmetry of a rose, this intricately compiled look into the ubiquitous nature of this number in our everyday lives is hard to ignore.

I personally have a strong interest in the Golden Ratio and Fibonacci sequence, originating with my degree in engineering and a core curriculum in liberal arts. More recently, I have taken a keen interest in Fibonacci applications in technical trading. I was originally drawn to this particular book by the artwork of Rafael Araujo, which is featured on the cover and throughout, as well as the work of Gary Meisner, whose public research available on his website I consider to be the benchmark for interest on the subject.

The Golden Ratio greatly exceeded my expectations. The pictures and imagery used throughout the book are simply magnificent; absolutely stunning in areas. This book is both text book and coffee table book; the production is of the highest quality. It is comprehensive and well-written, yet not so difficult as to be rendered inaccessible to the ordinary reader. For the price, this book is an absolutely tremendous value and far and away my favorite new addition on the subject.

As a photographer and art educator, I have been interested in the Golden Section for many decades. It has informed my own work as well as that of my pedagogy. The Golden Ratio is one of the best and most accessible summations of the expression of phi in art, architecture and nature I have come across. Gary Meisner makes the mathematical foundation of this proportion accessible to laymen whether non-mathematicians or non-art historians, and the beautiful illustrations serve to make clear the way in which this proportion has manifested itself throughout the natural world and human history.
